The truth is this week has been emotionally mind-boggling, which I suppose could be considered a mixed metaphor.
I had a dream early last week that I was standing on a wall and watching floodwaters rise. The water was churning and muddy, but I knew that it would soon be rising over my feet. Rather than wait to be submersed, I grabbed a board floating by and jumped on to surf the flood. This is a perfect analogy of my life right now as I ride the waves of fear and awe and confusion and delight.
You should know that I’m using this blog to process all of these cross-road emotions and fully comprehend the hand of God in my life. So I think it is essential for you to be caught up to the present moment, and then in future blogs, I will look back to try and understand how I got to this point and look forward to the next steps and changes.
