Paris!

Paris… how I loved it!

Mom and I had such a delightful time and enjoyed being able to explore the city as if we lived there. Our routine was to wake up to this view…

Walk around the corner to the local patisserie and pick up breakfast to go…

then hop on the bus or the Metro to explore amazing local sights…

like the Eiffel Tower…

or a fantastic museum like the Musee de Orsay…

or the Orangerie…

or Versailles…

or a cathedral like Notre Dame…

Mom was a trooper and climbed all 397 stairs up the spiral staircase to the bell tower of Notre-Dame.

Or just explore charming little side streets…

And then we might be hungry so we would have our main meal of the day…

and explore some more…

It was fun to see all the carousels around the city and we had to take a picture because when mom was a little girl she loved to read a book about a merry-go-round horse named Gigi.

And then perhaps have a little treat before heading home… Oh their AMAZING pistachio ice cream!

We were also thrilled to be able to spend time with Josh and Sarah, visiting the Louvre and lunching in the Tuileries Garden. And we were honored to meet Sarah’s father and sister who also rode the train down from Lille, to share a day with us visiting the Pantheon and enjoying a delicious meal together…

What a wonderful way to celebrate our shared birthday (I was born on Mom’s 20th birthday) and what a priceless treasured memory!

The only question is when can we return?
